Anyone can generate. Knowing what’s right is the job.
Every agency on the internet now says it is AI-powered, which tells you how
little the claim is worth. The tools are available to everybody, including you. What is not
available off the shelf is the judgment to tell a correct answer from a confident wrong one
— before it reaches a customer, and before it quietly costs you money eighteen months from
now. That judgment is what we sell. The tooling is only how we work.
Nothing reaches your site, your customers or your inbox without a
person having read it and understood why it is right. That is the slow half of this work, it is
the half that cannot be handed off, and it is the only reason the fast half is safe.
OurOWN
Products in the market
A mobile app in both app stores and a physical product business, run by
one person. We found the failure modes on our own time and with our own money, years before any
of it was pointed at a client.
0/MO
Added subscriptions
The Google star rating on our homepage refreshes itself every week. It
is about thirty lines of code we wrote, not a $19-a-month plugin. Most of what gets sold as an
AI add-on is a small piece of software with a subscription attached.
What We Can Build You
Where it actually pays for itself.
Not an AI strategy. Specific pieces of work that cost you hours a week or a
subscription a month today, rebuilt to run on their own — by someone who will still be able
to explain exactly how they work a year from now.
01
Live Data On Your Site
Your real Google rating, current inventory, this week’s schedule,
today’s availability — pulled from wherever it actually lives and shown on your site
automatically. No plugin, no monthly fee, and it is never out of date because nobody has to
remember to update it. The rating badge on our own homepage is exactly this.
02
Reports That Write Themselves
Your numbers pulled from the places they are scattered across, compared
to last week, and written up in plain English in your inbox every Monday morning. The work you
keep meaning to sit down and do, happening whether you sit down or not.
03
Content That Keeps Producing
Service pages, product descriptions, recurring write-ups — set up
as a pipeline rather than a one-time batch, so it keeps going after we leave. A person reads
every word before it publishes. We will not point a machine at your website and walk away.
04
The Repeated Twenty Minutes
Copying order details into a spreadsheet. Formatting the same report.
Sending the same follow-up. Pulling the same numbers off the same three dashboards. If you do
it more than weekly and it follows rules, it is usually worth automating once.
05
Messy Data, Made Usable
Years of exports, half-finished spreadsheets, and three different
spellings of every customer name. Merged, de-duplicated, standardized, and handed back as
something you can import, mail, or finally run a number against.
06
An Assistant On Your Site
Answers customer questions from your own pages, pricing, and policies
instead of making things up. Worth it if you answer the same five questions by phone all day.
Not worth it otherwise — and we will say so rather than sell you one.
Why Hire Anyone
The tools are everyone’s. The judgment isn’t.
You could open the same tools this afternoon, for twenty dollars, and plenty of
owners have. It is worth being honest about what happens next, because it is the entire reason
this is a service and not a subscription.
Doing it yourself
Where it goes wrong
It is confidently wrong
The output is fluent, authoritative and well formatted whether or not it is correct.
Nothing errors. Nothing warns you. If you did not already know the right answer, you cannot
see the wrong one — you find out from a customer, or from a number that was off for
three months.
Knowing what to ask for is most of it
The quality of what comes back is set almost entirely by how precisely the problem was
framed. Framing it well requires already knowing what a good result looks like in that
particular domain, which is the thing you were trying to buy.
It works until it doesn’t
The version that works on ten rows falls over at ten thousand. The page that looks right on
your laptop breaks on a phone. These are not visible on the day it is built. They surface
later, usually at the worst time.
What you are paying for
The part that is ours
We can tell the difference
We know what correct looks like in this work, so plausible-but-wrong does not get past us.
That recognition is not a feature of any tool. It comes from having built the thing enough
times, and from having been burned on our own products first.
We decide what not to build
Most of what could be built should not be. Knowing which half to throw away is worth more
than the half that ships, and it is the judgment that keeps your project small, cheap and
finished instead of sprawling.
Somebody is accountable
When it breaks in eight months, there is a person who understands why it was built that
way and answers the phone. No tool offers you that, and it is usually the part that matters
most on the day you need it.
How The Work Goes
The other half of why this is fast.
Tooling explains some of the speed. The rest is that there is nobody in between you
and the person building the thing.
The usual arrangement
Through an agency
Who you talk to
An account manager, who relays it to a project manager, who writes a ticket for a developer
you will never meet.
How you find out where it is
A status call on Thursday, and a slide that says the phase is 60% complete.
When you change your mind
A change order, re-scoped and re-quoted, and the timeline moves.
How it goes here
Direct
Who you talk to
The person doing the work. The number on this page goes straight to them. Answers usually come back the
same day, often within the hour.
How you find out where it is
You look at it. We put the real thing in front of you early and often, because showing you
a working page costs us almost nothing now.
When you change your mind
Early on, you just say so. Rework is cheap when the build is two days long, which is the
quiet advantage of working this way.
Being Straight With You
What we’re not claiming.
“AI expert” is the most oversubscribed phrase on the internet right
now, so here is the honest shape of it.
We don’t build or train AI models.
That is a different profession and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do is narrower and far
more useful to you: we know precisely where these tools are strong, where they fail, and how to
catch the failures before they reach a customer. That came from years of running our own products
on this work and paying for the mistakes ourselves. It is not a setting you can switch on, and it
is the only part of this that is genuinely hard to copy.
We won’t sell you an AI strategy deck. If we cannot point at a specific task
in your week and tell you roughly what automating it saves, there is nothing to buy here and
we’ll say so. The same goes for a chatbot you do not need.
Nothing goes out unread. Anything written for your business gets reviewed by a
person before a customer sees it. Pipelines we build for you are set up so that stays true after
we hand them over.
Proof
We do this to ourselves first.
We run our own products, not just client projects — a mobile app in both app
stores and a physical product business, both operated by one person using exactly the methods on
this page. If an approach does not hold up, we find out on our own time instead of yours.
Tell us the task — the report you rebuild every month, the list you retype, the five questions
you answer by phone all day. We’ll tell you whether it is worth automating and what that runs,
usually the same day. If the answer is that it is not worth it, you’ll get that answer too.
